We all experience pain. Pain can be mild, moderate or severe. Some pain is chronic, some is periodic. What we all have in common is that we want the discomfort to end. And finding a pain relief medication that works with the least side effects and the greatest speed and effectiveness is what we all seek.
The evil eye is the name for a sickness transmitted, usually without intention, by someone who is envious, jealous, or covetous. It is also called the invidious eye and the envious eye. The evil eye belief is that a person, otherwise not malific in any way, can harm you, your children, your livestock, or your fruit trees, by looking at them* with envy and praising them. The word "evil" is unfortunate in this context because it implies that someone has "cursed" the victim, but such is not the case.
The effect of an evil eye is a fact. This is supported by many proofs from revealed texts and reasoning. Imam al-Bukhari reported on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The effect of an evil eye is a fact.”
However, the evil eye can never harm unless Allah wills so. Hence, it shouldn’t be a cause of fear or terror to anyone, for supreme power and might are for Almighty Allah alone and He is the Only One we should fear. It is in Him that we should seek protection against Satan and the evil eye. Both al-Bukhari and Muslim reported in their authentic collections that `Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to tell me to recite ruqyah for protection against the evil eye.
